A Tragic Plea

On a very Sad, and unbelievable note of despair grabbed me as I read about The Nevada Horse Slaughter in one of the Posts, on the Blogsite 'Heart Break Ranch'. http://www.breakheartranch.com/ I find it hard to even contemplate how people can treat animals in this way, I actually broke out in a sweat..
Heart Break Ranch's site is also full of wonderful stories and happy photographs of the animals they have rescued, they do an incredibly worthy job. Please visit their site, & Donate if You Can.

Yes, it is absolutely despicable, I agree. I have a little PMU filly that I adopted from a rescue here in AZ. She was headed to slaughter when they bought her and a load of other horses. So sad. If you aren't familiar with the PMU horses, just do a google search.
We need more people to be appalled!

Yes, one of America's dirty little secrets. Also check out the Exceller Fund for saving retired racehorses. Ferdnand, Sunday Silence (both KY Derby Winners) and Exceller a grand champion died at slaughterhouses.

I'm ashamed as one of the world's leaders in many areas US still has vile institutions like this that need to be excised like the cancer they are. To bring them to light like you do Gail is one way to help this process.
